This course will deal with the study of migration since the mid 19th century. It will examine the causes of international migration, giving an overview of immigration experience in various immigrant absorbing countries including Israel and the United States. It will also deal with issues of voluntary migration and refugee processes, and focus on Israel as an example of absorption and cross-cultural adaptation.
This course is open to all students.
